Registration For Administrator's Session

Administrator SessionThe Administrator's Session is set for the afternoon of Wednesday, May 28th. It includes lunch, a 3-hour workshop session, three substantial handouts, and admittance to Greg Valliere’s closing keynote presentation on the impact of the 2008 Election. This workshop session is offered as a member benefit only to those advisors who are attending the Conference.

The instructor for this course is Susan Bennett, CFP® who has over 25 years of experience training office staff in the financial services industry. The 3-hour workshop session will include:

  • The Indispensable Assistant - Outstanding assistants possess a combination of positive attributes. Gain practical how-to skills you can put to work immediately—skills that can make you more productive and more valuable than ever before. Learn better ways to get the most out of each day, how to rank priorities by importance and urgency, manage projects, and how to handle the pressure of multiple tasks, deadlines and managers.

  • The Business Etiquette Advantage - The essential soft skills of good manners are critical to advancing your career. Etiquette helps us recognize the importance of others and the ways in which we can be of benefit to them. This section will examine how good manners apply to the work world. How you look, talk, walk, sit, stand, and even eat speaks volumes about who you are. Being able to handle difficult people and situations with confidence and grace is not only a vital aspect of your professional development, but it is beneficial for your personal development as well.

  • Grammar Tips for Administrative Professionals - How to structure and organize ideas in a “reader-oriented” memo or letter. This section highlights the most pressing and most common writing problems that plague the average business communication. Content focuses on perfecting grammar and punctuation and building solid sentences and paragraphs – including commonly misused words, apostrophe usage, and subject/verb agreement.
